Surrounded by open countryside, Hideaway at Highfield is now a comfortable and excellently appointed cottage. Having been recently transformed from an old farm building, Hideaway has all the modern conveniences you would expect for today's modern living.

Highfield, originally a working farm, has been reduced to just four acres of grounds and is situated in Treswithian Downs, just 3 minutes off the A30 London to Lands End trunk road, making it very conveniently situated for visiting the wonderful attractions that Cornwall has to offer.

The accommodation comprises of entrance porch, the well-designed kitchen which has everything you need to cook a culinary delight, a light airy double aspect lounge with wood-burner, and patio doors leading to the garden. The garden has a lawned area, and a lovely patio that catches most of the sun during the day, continuing into the evening with gas BBQ, ideal for warm summer evenings.

There are two bedrooms, one double with far reaching countryside views, and one twin, both en-suite, and both with double showers. Hideaway has full central heating. Hideaway is the perfect place for rest and relaxation, a rural retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life or a romantic few days and is within walking distance of the local shop and Public House with restaurant.

Treswithian Downs is only a few minutes' drive from the coast. On the spectacular North Cornwall coast there is the beach at Godrevy, 8 minutes' drive away and Gwithian, one of the popular surfing beaches in Cornwall; the Hayle Towans, with 3 miles of golden sands, and the sandy beaches that form St Ives Bay, only 15 minutes away. The South Coast is a 15 minute drive, there is Mounts Bay, Marazion and Penzance, Mounts Bay being one of the 10 most beautiful bays in Europe. Here you will find St Michael's Mount, you will either be able to walk across the causeway, or catch one of the small ferryboats if the tide is in. At Penzance you can take either a boat trip or fly to the beautiful Isles of Scilly.

Also within an hour's drive is Lands End, and Falmouth where the National Maritime Museum has a large range of vessels, past and present, on display. The Minack open-air theatre set in the cliffs at Pothcurno and Paradise Park with its beautiful birds along with other animals. There are many gardens such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trevarno, and Trengwainton not forgetting the Eden Project. Also within easy reach are Tehidy, Mullion, West Cornwall and Truro Golf courses.

The rugged and wild beauty of the picturesque landscape will always reflect Cornwall's historic past. Today's visitors are drawn here for the fresh air, and the freedom to explore the sheltered sandy coves, and the wonderful beaches, and exhilarating cliff walks.
